The Ample Scientific CM401T Nexcope biological microscope has a Seidentopf trinocular viewing head, a built-in 1.25 numerical aperture (NA) Abbe condenser, 3-watt LED illumination, a mechanical stage, and achromatic objectives with magnification options of 4X, 10X, 40X (sealed) and 100X (oil immersion method). This biological microscope enhances object or image resolution, and is commonly used for advanced education, medical and veterinary diagnostic medicine.

This microscope features a trinocular viewing head configuration with two heads to ease eye strain, and provide a more comprehensive view, and a third head to connect to an external monitor for an alternative viewing option, with fixed vertical inclination. The heads fixed vertically, , and rotate 360 degrees on two axes. Its Seidentopf head allows for interpupillary adjustment. The objectives have achromatic lenses to correct for color aberrations. The microscope has a 10X widefield eyepiece magnifier, which locks on to the unit for ease of operation. It has a 3-watt LED illumination to provide cool, white light at 6,000 kelvin, with a dimmer switch for lighting adjustment capabilities, and a sealed 1.25 NA Abbe condenser for higher resolution. The condenser has rack and pinion gears for dependability. A coaxial focus control has a large, low drive for ease of maneuverability. A square mechanical stage provides ease of operation, and has two spring-clip slide holders. A reversed nosepiece faces outward, protecting the objectives, and providing stage access.
